E*Trade was sold to Morgan Stanley. You should have been notified that your account was changed.
@DoninGA thank you. I know they were sold to MS. But since I still log into Etrade.com, wasn’t clear that I should be looking under Morgan Stanley especially since the import documents page on TT still display the etrade logo.
TurboTax has a great article on troubleshooting your 1099 import.
I still cannot import mine. After entering user name and password it clocks away for a bit and then says there are no tax documents to import. I can see the Tax documents on the e-trade website.
See the following TurboTax Help articles for potential fixes:
Nothing new on those articles
I'm still getting the same message. All of my other brokerage accounts easily and reliably download.
Yes. It gives me a message saying no documents avail to import. I see 1099 in Tax center. Last message I saw said they fixed in on Feb 27. It still does snot work. Today is March 4th 2024.
Still not working as of 3/13/2024.
Yes. My Schwab account did not have any issue downloading the forms. E*Trade account has an issue and the message is "nothing avail. to down load".
THE FOLLOWING SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME:
Contacted ETrade Support. There is a "third party data sharing" setting that you need to ensure is turned on. You can find that by going to the My Profile tab (the silhouette of a person next to the search bar, top right of screen) >> Security Settings >> Manage third party data sharing
Set that to "Yes" and try again. It worked for me, hope this helps you.
Mine is turned on but I continue to get an error to turn it on again. What can I do there is way too much data to enter it all by hand.
