Instead of downloading the Windows 11 system, can i use Edge instead for 2024 tax year?

I was informed to download Windows 11 for Turbo Tax year 2024 as WIndows 10 will not work. I use Microsoft Edge. Will that work?

Desktop download for 2024 works on Windows 10.   It is for tax year 2025---that is not yet available-- that you will need Windows 11 if you want to use desktop software.

@dhopkinsland And...you are confusing a browser with an operating system.   Microsoft Edge is a browser.  Windows 10 or Windows 11 are operating systems.

If you use the Online version instead of buying and installing the Desktop software then any Windows  (10 or   11) or browser (Edge) will work.  Here are the Online System Requirements for 2024.  Probably will be the same for 2025.

Since it appears that my using Microsoft Edge is not compatible with TurboTax I guess, after using Turbo Tax for over 20 years I will switch to H & R Block!

@meblanke   Edge is a web browser.  Edge is still listed on the 2025 Online version requirements.  And for the Desktop program it doesn't matter which browser you have.

Turbo Tax Desktop Download System Requirements. For 2025 you will need Windows 11 or later or Mac OS Sonoma 14 or later (newer). Click on the 2025 tab at the top.
