In Feb I was unable to e-file my return. I took my return to a tax person to file for me but they still haven't. How do I get TurboTax to let me edit my return to efile?

On TurboTax it shows the status bar "Federal return transmitted" with no date. The status it stuck at "Federal return pending". I have called TurboTax and was told it will take 24 hours to fix, it has been 2 days and it hasn't been fixed. Is there anything else I can do to get back into my return so I can efile?

As long as your return is in the "pending" status, you won't be able to do anything to "fix" it.  You won't be able to e-file it again, as it has already been transmitted.  You'd get a rejection notice showing that exact message....your return (your SSN) has already been filed.

So you'll have to wait to see what happens within the next few days.  Some returns remain in pending status for quite some time.  I did find this article explaining why some returns stay in pending status longer than others.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately I never filed my return. The Turbo Tax website indicated I needed to print and file by mail because some form wasn't available for me to efile. I never printed and mailed in my return. I decided to wait for the form to be available. I was trying to go back in and see if I could efile and somehow Turbo Tax has me indicated as efiling, which I never did.

Maybe you can find someone who knows what they're doing.

Make sure your other tax person who hadn't filed, still hasn't.
