Click on Review to see if your tax returns has forms and/or schedules that have not yet been finalized in TurboTax and the date they will be available.
If your return does have forms and/or schedules which have not been finalized then you will not be able to pay for or e-file the tax return.
Maybe you are waiting for some forms. Click Review to see if you are missing some forms needed in order to e-file.
Many federal and state forms are not yet available. Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.
No hurry to e-file since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject 2023 e-files until January 29. And….a state return cannot be accepted until after the IRS accepts your federal return.
Another thing to check—make sure the address on your tax return and the address on your method of payment match each other
I had this problem. I was using a saved credit card from last year. I had to edit the credit card info, enter my address and CVC code again, then save. After that it worked.
I'm having this issue - tried it on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox and all three the page gets slightly grey after I push "Confirm payment" and nothing happens. When I click on the page a second time, the page is enabled again, but it never seems to accept the click to confirm payment.
Have you tried the fixes in this post? Make sure your credit card info is filled out correctly (updating it if it was saved from last year, reenter CVC code, etc), and make sure addresses match? Also, make sure review is complete and no errors, etc.?
You've eliminated different browsers as a cause, now try clearing your cache and cookies. Sometimes that can clear saved data that has been updated multiple times. @hallandr
I was having the same problem with the gray screen not responding on my desktop computer, so I went to pay using my phone. When I did this it complained that my zip code was not correct (which it was). I have a POB and the mail systems like to add additional digits after the zip code .
I suspect that this zip code error was the problem with the other page in my case.
Try a cell phone if you have it and/or if you have a POB enter the -XXXX after your zip code.
Literally same scenario here and I'm not sure what to do!
As mentioned by another poster, I was also able to get this to work by using my phone. The point of failure on my computer was that it was trying to pop up an address correction dialog - wanted to insert a 9 digit zip code, shorten the state name to the 2 character abbreviation, and change St. to ST
I think if you can manually clean up your address, it won’t try to pop up the address correction dialog and you can make the payment.
