If I use my iPad for my complicated return in 2023 the IPad will pick up my entries and numbers from 2022 with a PFD copy of my 2022 return I sent to my IPAD?

I think you mean "pdf"  --- no----do not try to use the pdf.  You need to transfer the tax file. 

• You won't be able to transfer a PDF, it must be a tax data file with a filename extension .tax2022.

I wouldn't bother transferring from the pdf.  Transferring from a pdf file is very limited and only transfers name, address, ssn and AGI.    And not the prior amounts.

The iPad mobile app is just a portal to the Online version.  So you need to do the transfer in the Online account.  How did you do the 2022 return?

I have been using the Turbo tax download on my OLD LAPTOP FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND CD BEFORE..

Due to the slowness of the computer, I only use once a year I thought I would try the IPad but I do not want to enter by scratch and I need carry forwards, so it is cheaper to buy a new lap top than pay to have taxes done by someone.
