Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

If I filed with TT and had my fees taken out of my refund, does that mean my 2nd stimulus check came to yall and yall rejected it?

So now I have to wait for my refund to come in the mail?

The stimulus payment will go to the account you entered for direct deposit on the 2019 tax return.  The direct deposit information cannot be changed.  If the account is closed the IRS will send the payment by mail or on a debit card.

Go to this IRS website for stimulus information - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/treasury-and-irs-begin-delivering-second-round-of-economic-impact-payme...

Go to this IRS website to check the status of your payment - https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

If you do not receive the second stimulus payment on or before January 15, 2021 and you are eligible it will be entered on your federal tax return, Form 1040 on Line 30.

The Form 1040 has not been finalized and needs to updated to include the 2nd Economic Impact Payment.

This is a super generic answer.  While I agree that TT has no control over your refund or how it is sent/processed.  There was an agreement in place for everyone that had fees taken out of their refund. (you had to electronically sign and agree to it in order to use the third party bank Santa Barbara Bank and Trust).  The person who responded to this is a bot with TT and is not really giving you correct information.  I got my first stimulus payment perfectly fine into my account and on the day it was expected.  As of this moment, my transcript shows that my refund was sent on 1/4/21, as expected, but the Track My Payment tool says it doesn't have any information available.  It seems that the common thing everyone with this problem has is that they had their fees taken out of their refund.  It would make sense that if this 2nd stimulus payment was not processed as an advance but instead processed as a refund that maybe, possibly there was a glitch or confusion and that this 2nd payment was sent to the account number for Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, - rejected - and then will be sent back to the IRS, and either get be sent for dd again (not likely) or that we will be sent a paper check. Im super bummed and currently on hold to speak with a real person, if I hear anything I will update here, if I get my money or the payment tracker updates.  Please do the same if you have any change as well.  Good vibes to you!  Thanks!

@jc3blessed Not a bot for TurboTax.  Also not a TurboTax employee.  This is a public forum and I am a volunteer on the forum.   TurboTax will have absolutely no information whatsoever concerning a stimulus payment.  The IRS has total control of the stimulus payments and how they are distributed.  They use the direct deposit information that is in "their" systems.

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

See this Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (third party processor) website for stimulus information - https://www.sbtpg.com/coronavirus-stimulus-payment-info/

I was more so saying you gave a very generic answer, and yes I assumed that you were affiliated with TT, so my apologies for that, no disrespect.  You were giving information that the person had already known and giving links that were already used - not really helping with the investigative part of the question that it seems many are having with this payment disbursement.  We are thankful to you that you take the time out of your own schedule to volunteer with TT, it is appreciated!

The link that you just sent for Santa Barbra Bank seems to be inline with what I just said, as well as your second paragraph - which makes no sense to me personally?  Why would these payments be routed though them? Yes we all seem to be in agreeance that we had our fees for processing our taxes taken out, but there is no fee for the stimulus.  Just seems that maybe something is a bit off here, I hope and pray they figure it out for everyone soon.  If I get any update I will let this thread know. Blessings and Good Vibes!
