I need to file an extension. It's asking for a 1040 form, I dont have one? I love abroad right now, and am exempt from taxes where I live right now. I only have a w-2.

Sorry, It's meant to say live abroad. I live in and work in korea right now (from sep 2023-dec 2023) I have earned income but less then 10,000 usd. I'm trying to file an extension but it doesn't let me move on unless I answer the 1040 line 24 question, I dont have one??

Thanks for trying to help, that isn't helpful. I've already looked at that. Why am I am unable to file an extension online? I can't file an extension without answering that 1040 question with turbotax.

Go to the TurboTax Easy Extension website to e-file an extension request - https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/

A 1040 is the tax return form you prepare here to send to the IRS.   If you start entering data in this software you are preparing a Form 1040.   Please look at it so you will know what you are sending to the IRS:

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
