I’m trying to take self employment off of my tax return and it won’t come off

Do you have any self-employment or freelance income?

I am also trying to take self employed off of my return it must have been my mistake by checking that box but I do not have any income from self employment during the year 2020. Please help me resolve this matter I have reason to believe it is causing my return to be denied

If you do not have any 1099-Misc or 1099-NEC forms to enter and you do not have business that you had cash income from, you can delete the Schedule C information from your return.

  1. Click "Tax Tools"
  2. Click "Tools"
  3. Click "Delete a Form"
  4. Find the schedule C documents
  5. "Delete"
  6. "Confirm Deletion"
