I logged on to the wrong account and entered the data. I need to log on to a different account. Is there a way to transfer the information or do I have to re do it.

No, you are unable to transfer information from one TurboTax account to another TurboTax account. You will need to re-enter the information into the correct account.

The fact that turbo tax doesn't give us a way to transfer the work really sucks.  Of course it's possible!

Data is only transferred if you are using the same account.

we're not talking about "data."  we're talking about work done in a return which has not been filed or paid for and a need arises to switch platforms, accounts or service levels.  because turbo tax has some situations where there  is no way of transferring what is sometimes hours of work entering information,  the only choice is to clear in start over and that shouldn't be.  .  obviously there's a way to do this but turbo tax is counting on customers not doing that and going ahead and paying more money for a service they do not want.  LIVE for example is like this.  As is the Desktop software if you have forgotten to import your previous year and go ahead and work on the current year return you have to start over in order to get 2018 information in that return.

No, the original poster is asking about transferring data from one account to another. 

TurboTax is a "do-it-yourself" software to complete tax returns. 

Customers can store data (tax files) in their own accounts, but TurboTax does not own the tax returns. 

For security purposes, only the Taxpayer can store, review, and transfer their tax files. 

 

For some, filing tax returns can be very frustrating and TurboTax might not be the best choice.

You might consider using a professional tax accountant or, if eligible, use the IRS volunteer service. Those offices are closed at this time because of the virus, but federal filing has been extended to July 15th, 2020, so an office might open up again before that.
