If you have filed your return you can disregard the emails. At the bottom of the email, it does say if you have already filed your return, you can disregard this notice.
You can also use the following links to confirm you have e-filed. If it shows you have, please disregard those emails.
You do need to input your AGI in order to e-file. The IRS requires your 2018 AGI to verify your identity for e-filing. If you're paper-filing your return, you won't need your AGI because those are manually processed.
There are a few places you can get your 2018 AGI:
You won't find your AGI on your W-2 or 1099 form because those forms don't take into account over a dozen above-the-line deductions that go into calculating your AGI.
Thanks - but I know my 2018 AGI. I don't see any way to enter that for my 2019 return which shows as "accpeted". I've now gotten two emails from Intuit telling me I need to enter last year's AGI but there is no way to do it.....what am I missing?
This is the text of the email I received:
| Everything is almost done, and your return is ready to be e‑filed, but you’re missing one little thing. The IRS has security rules in place that require your 2018 AGI (adjusted gross income) to confirm your identity before sending off your 2019 tax return. Sign in today and we’ll help you finish up. Is this legitimate? It looks like it |
Your 2018 AGI does need to be entered as a security feature to file your return. Have you filed? Did you receive verification that your return was submitted and accepted or rejected?
I’m having trouble getting to my last year taxes so I can get my agi so I can file this year
Yes - I filed.
The TurboTax website says the status of my federal return is "accepted".
The IRS - Where's My Return website says my federal return has been "received".
But....
Intuit/Turbotax has sent me two emails stating as follows;
Reminder: You haven't filed your 2019 taxes yet

I spoke with TurboTax help and they told me everything looks OK - but they keep sending me these emails. What can I do? Will someone from TurboTax please help?

Right...everything's OK with my return....but the emails....
It seems there is an old account in the system I must have opened many years ago. I can't access it but TT help says they see it still exists. Any hints on getting rid of it?
You can't delete an account, but you can contact a TurboTax rep to help you deactivate it. Here is a link to use for support.

The 2018 AGI is on the 2018 Federal tax return you filed Form 1040 Line 7
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/how-do-i-find-last-year-s-agi/01/25947
To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on View adjusted gross income (AGI)
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
If your tax return continues to be rejected with the 2018 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the AGI and e-file again.
If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.
See this TurboTax support FAQ for printing a tax return for mailing - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online...
