Added info says it was error in our (ttax) software.
The same thing happened to me this evening. I filed my Federal and State taxes with no errors. I just found out today that my State taxes were rejected because of a TurboTax software error. Don't worry it was there error and it is easy to fix. Just do the following:
* Log into TurboTax
* Select State Taxes
* Make any corrections if prompted
* Continue to do a final review
* E-file your return
* They told me that I would not be charged for my State refile
All is great except you paid extra to buy a TurboTax version that included Federal e-file and then paid an extra $20 to e-file. They should at least refund the extra you paid for the State e-file since your State refund will be delayed. I filed very early and now just received my Federal refund today. I assume the State software error must have had something to do with that. The good news is that this is the only problem I have had with TurboTax since I started using it when it was first released.
I am going to call someone about a State e-file refund. Perhaps you should also. The important thing I finally got my first COVID-19 Vaccine yesterday! Hope you got yours too.
