I mistakenly filed my 2023 w-2 on my 2024 tax return. It had already been submitted and is processing through the IRS. What should I do? Wait until it has finished processing or amend my return to remove the w-2 from the previous year?

Yes, you should wait until it has finished processing. If your return gets rejected, you can fix the return and re-submit for e-file. If it is accepted, you will need to amend to correct the W-2 issue.
Here is some more information on filing amendments: How to File an Amended Tax Return with the IRS
Looked at my transcript and saw codes 150 and 570. Will I get a refund and then have to amend it?
Yes you will have to file an amended tax return, but you must wait for the original one to be processed.
The IRS Code 150 means that your tax return has been filed successfully.
How do I amend my federal tax return for a prior year?
Received a letter 4464c. Stating there will be a hold for 60 days. To verify income and etc. If my income is more than last year with the mistake of adding my w-2 from last year will that means that I would owe on my amended?
Without seeing your private tax data, I can't say if you will owe more or less when you enter the correct W-2.
However, you should try to figure out that your return should be. I say this because under the circumstances, the IRS may see what happened and amend your return for you (of course, you have the option to accept the proposed amendment).
If you have already figured out what your 2024 return was supposed to look like, then if the IRS proposes the same numbers, you can say, yes, I accept the proposed amendment.
This saves you the time, hassle, and expense of having to amend the return yourself.
I don’t usually owe in taxes. I’m just assuming that I will because it would be an overpay in how much I would receive back on my return because the added W-2 (2023) raises my income for this year. Which in turn raised the amount I’d receive back. Do you have any guesses on how long that may take?
The problem(?) is that while the extra W-2 increases your income, it also increases your withholding but may also increase your marginal tax rate - that's why I can't say if your tax would go up or not.
No, under the circumstances, only the IRS knows how long the process will take, given the amount of turmoil in Washington. Be thankful that they set an expectation of 60 days. Amended returns now take 12 to 16 weeks to process - that's why I hope the IRS will offer to amend your return for you (and that you can accept the changes).
I gotcha, thankyou for the information
I did the same thing and my return was accepted but still says processing with the irs, can I amend it or do I need to wait until the irs approves or denies the amount? Also would it hurt to amend it before the irs approves or denies my refund amount?
No, it will not hurt since you already know it's accepted and in process. The link below will help you get started and you can send it immediately or hold it until the IRS releases your refund. I would advise you to complete it and send it in so the IRS can review your overall situation and hopefully release the correct refund amount. The will figure it out once all the W-2s are reconciled with your return, however it does take time for that to happen.
