After reading this thread and overriding/deleting the 0 on the form (CD version), I was able to e-file my MD taxes this morning. I had already e-filed my federal on 2/1 and received my direct deposit refund last night. I have determined that the Form 8582 error was directly related to the 1099K I received from Paypal for the first time this tax year for personal items sold on line and paid for through Paypal goods & services (not friends & family). The federal entry of Schedule 1, Part I, line 8z shows that 1099K amount as 0 and transfers to the MD form which doesn't know what to do with it yet
i did have a 1099 k this year or any year, this issue is strictly a TT software issue. see message from TeresaM Employee Tax Expert TT), dated February 8, 2022 at 9:49 am.
it was the online version I used to file my md using the same instructions I posted

I did exactly what you said unfortunately the form was not on my list to delete !
I initially called TT on February 1st and here it is February 9th and they haven’t fixed the issue yet. Supposedly it is supposed to be working by tomorrow. It is completely unacceptable for this to be taking so long to resolve.
I will file with HR Block this weekend if the problem isn’t corrected by then.
Nothing works if you live in maryland. Unfortunately I get all the way to efile and I'm shut down. This bull. 18 years with turbo, never used a different model. Now I've wasted my money that I need. This is bull. I'm so beyond angry.
i have communicated with the comptroller's e-file division and they seem mystified by TT's issue. file the 1040 first by not e-filing the maryland taxes. take the check mark out of the maryland e-file page. you use marylandtaxes.gov which is the comptroller site.
you can e-file the 1040 by deleting the maryland e-file right before the e-file is done. can do Maryland on Comptrollers site: marylandtaxes.gov.
override...where are you getting this option?
the form is not showing up in any section of forms
@DBailey94 Do I have to upgrade to the Self employed version
I just spoke to rep and she said Mach 3 it should be fixed...
