I turbotax CD is brand new i finished my taxes howerve wheni tried to efile a message come out saying that Failed Validation that there is un update available for this version and that i have to updated befoe filiing my taxes i keep going online menue and check for updated buy it us up to date. what should i do.
Are you on Windows?
If your program says it's up to date or you can't update it then do the Manual Update.
The program should tell you if an update is available. You can download that for free and then file.
After I paid for E-filing state return, I am unable to transmit my returns at the final step. Turbo Tax kept asking to check an entry, so I wanted not to check the box but unable to make it. Then, it got stuck there.

I assume you are using the desktop software (CD/download).
What box is it? TurboTax has a lot of boxes.
Does it tell you what it is?
If you can explain more, someone in the forum may be able to comment.
Yes, I am using the Turbo Tax home & business software online purchased from Costco.
The box is in Federal Information Worksheet
Disaster Tax Relief
Check if you took a disaster distribution between 2018 and 2020
I tried to uncheck the box, but I can't make it. And, the other boxes in the same form are active.
Thank you so much for your response.

Did you enter a 1099-R? I know there is a known issue for folks who took a disaster relief distribution in years 2018-2020, and it's related to a Form 8915 that's not yet available.
If you did NOT have such distribution for disaster relief in those years, the thread at the link below has a solution for Online TurboTax users provided by TurboTax Expert @ JamesG1 but the steps are not the same for desktop software, so it may or may not help you. And I don't have a way to test it in desktop software.
I've mentioned @ JamesG1 here, so he or another desktop software user may respond at some point in this thread. I don't know if you will have to wait until the Form 8915 becomes available to correct that or not.
I spent hours with support and they could not fix this issue. Transmitting did not work at all, however, as I continued to work on this problem on my own, I chose to remove the state option and only transmit the Federal return for e-filing independent of the state tax return. This fixed the problem, the Federal e-file transmitted immediately. I have gone back into the program to e-file my state return (Indiana) however, it still will not transmit and I will have to mail my State return. Turbo Tax is sending me a refund on my state fee of $25.00.
I have finish tax form and it will sent
Are you having issues transmitting your return? Please try the following steps which may help clear the loop you are experiencing:
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, please reach back out here in the thread and someone will follow up with the next steps.
i have the desktop version and it will not transmit. Will not do federal or NJ, separately or together. Ive done all of the suggestions, even deleted and reinstalled.

Is it the Windows or Mac version?
You didn't say what error message you are getting. We don't know what all the suggestions are that you tried. I remember someone once reported it was his VPN causing an issue. If you are using a VPN, can you safely and securely efile without the VPN? If you're using wireless, have you tried a wired Ethernet connection instead? Have you rebooted your modem and router?
Here's how to speak to TurboTax Support:
Mac version. TurboTax Premier.
error is “due to unexpected internet transmission problems beyond our control, your returns were NOT received by the intuit electronic center.”
not using VPN
tried to do Ethernet
have rebooted everything
I have competed my taxes and just updated TurboTax but can not seem to sent my tax return by e-file. What appears to be the problem. The screen indicates TurboTax is not ready to sent in my returns to Federal and State Governments.
Never had this problem in past years. Is it too early to sent in by e-file 1/27/2023?
