Thank you for asking. Yes! You can do single with 1 exemption. The following link will give you a good idea about your tax withholding. https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/calculators/w4/

The W-4 was meant for you! Completing Step 1 and Step 5 should be enough for you. If you wish to withhold more, Have a look at Step 4(C).
