I am manually inputing my 1099-int from a bank and there is no place to add the Bank's FEIN number. What do I do? Years past there was always a FEIN box...Help

That's OK.

Sometimes it asks, sometimes it doesn't.

(Some of us have been wondering why it seems to need on at various times)

My desktop software rarely asks for one when I put in a new 1099-INT....Just tried entering a new one Manually again now....and it doesn't ask

The only time it seems to ask about it (at least I think it does), is if I'm re-using a form I used in a prior year....where I did actually import it from a Financial Provider.
