TurboTax will handle the 1098-T for you. Maybe the concern was the w2 coming into play, to show full aid received for the program to determine how much credit you should receive.
Regarding this, my former institute issued me a W2 for my stipend from 2018 onwards, which is FICA exempt. As such, I didn't have any FICA tax taken out from that salary (see IRS 970). How do I ensure this is reflected in TurboTax? When I input it as a W2 salary, my return drops by the amount that I would have paid in FICA taxes, suggesting that I owe that in back tax.
