I made 2 online payments using ACI payments (not estimated). How and where can I record those in turbo tax online software.

You can enter the taxes that you paid online for your 2024 taxes in the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid area of the Deductions and Credits section.
Refer to the TurboTax Help article Where do I enter my estimated tax payments? for navigation instructions.
Enter as federal estimated taxes and change the date in the quarter to the date you paid the taxes online and enter the amount.
The amount will be entered on Line 26 of your 1040.
Hello,
I did not make the the estimated payments in 2024. I have paid the normal 1040. Is that ohk if I record this in estimated payments ?
Please clarify your question by adding some additional information so we may better help you. Such as; What version of TurboTax are you using? What type of payments did you make? How and where did you make them? What tax year did you make them for?
Hello,
1. I am using TurboTax online version
2. I made online payments on https://fed.acipayonline.com/index.jsp using my credit cards
3. I selected 1040 Current Tax Return - Tax Year 2024 (attached a screenshot in my previous message) while doing the payment
4.Tax Year 2024
You needn't report the payments in TurboTax.
The way I understand you, you e-filed a Federal Tax Return.
Afterwards, you went online and paid the tax due from that federal tax return Form 1040.
If this is correct, there is nothing more you need to do.
Please let us know if you did not e-file your tax year 2024 Form 1040 tax return.
(Again, if you did e-file, and then went online and paid, there is nothing more you need to do. TurboTax assumes you made the tax due payment, you do not need to tell the program the payment was made.)
Hello,
I have NOT e-filed as of yet. I have put in all the details and turbotax which gave me the amount I owe to the IRS. Again pointing it out that I have not e-filed completely just uploaded all my W-2s, 1099s etc etc forms that I usually upload. Since it gave me the amount that I owe to IRS I paid some portion of it using the above method I described. I still need to pay the rest of the amount which I plan to in the coming week.
My question is once I have paid the tax owned completely how do I report this before I complete the e-file process ?
You don’t. Your tax due is still the tax due. The IRS will match up the payments to your return. Your return will always show the final tax due or refund. That’s just the result of your tax return. Like if you filed first and then paid the tax due.
Can someone confirm if the above is correct ? I am getting conflicting answers on how to report these payments. Some answers are saying report in estimated vs do not report at all.
VolvoGirl is correct; however, the first post by @siddheshshirke12 is also correct
you want to show zero tax due on your tax return it is the preferred method.
