There are several similar questions to mine but none of the answers are helpful.
My situation: My father passed in October 2021. Based on the information I input into TurboTax, it indicates that my father was eligible for $1400. I cannot find Notice 1444 or Letter 6475 amongst my father's belongings in order to confirm how much or if he even received anything. I have been checking any new mail since his passing and there has been nothing from the IRS. A couple of suggestions given to others asking a similar question as mine was to sign into an IRS Online Account. My dad did not have a computer and did not have an Online Account and the Online Account will not allow me to open an account. Another suggestion was to check bank statements. There are no deposits noted from the IRS or for $1400. I tried calling the EIP hotline and after several hours of being on hold they said they could not help me as they did not have the information. They said to call another number to get a tax transcript which does not seem to be what I need.
Does anyone have some better or additional advise? Please help!

We'll say he didn't get it and let it put the 1400 on .line 30. If the IRS already sent it they will automatically take it off and reduce the refund or send a bill.
Thank you very much, VolvoGirl. It's greatly appreciated.
