If you owe the IRS money for prior years, you should have received a notice in the mail stating how much you owe and for what tax year.
You can also use this IRS online link to access your information: https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account
In addition, you can contact the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (BFS) directly at (800) 304-3107 to find out if there is a pending offset of your refund and for how much.
@Alfred1302 Look on line 22 of your Form 1040--that is where it shows your tax due if you owe. Or are you asking about back taxes?

On your 2019 Tax Return? - Look at the Form 1040 Line 23. If there is an amount entered then you owe federal taxes
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
Or are you referring to owing back taxes for prior tax years? If so, go to this IRS website for your tax account - https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account
If you are referring to your 2019 tax return, you can look at it and see. The amount you owe would be on Line 23. See the screenshot below.

@cookie1983 No one else can "let you know" whether you owe money to the IRS. You have to check it for yourself.
