Tax Year Prior to 2020: How do I file my 2017 quarterly taxes

The Home & Business desktop edition does not support a Form 1065, only the Business Edition supports that form and the  Business Edition can only be installed on a Windows based personal computer, not on a Mac or online.

The personal versions say 1065, 1120 etc. because you can enter a K-1 from them into your tax return.   But it does not prepare the separate business return.  

They really need to go to go to an Accountant the first year or two to setup the Business and file the return right.

Will the Home and Business product not work?

No. Home & Business can on only be used to file a tax return for a living, breathing person. It only has the 1040 and nothing else.

It says online that form 1065 is included in that product.

No, it doesn't say that *FOR THE HOME AND BUSINESS PRODUCT".

 I only have a Mac, so I'm weighing my options of just hiring someone to do it for me.

If you don't have access to a windows computer then you flat out can not use TurboTax Business to complete the Partnership return. TurboTax Business is for completing a return for a non-breathing, non-living separately taxable/reportable entity. Such as a multi-member LLC, Partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, Estates, and Trusts. That's it.

Now keep in mind that the 1065 Partnership return is due by March 15th. So if you're going to have it done by a third party, find someone *NOW* if not sooner. When tax filing season starts, you will have a hard time finding anyone who may be able to complete it before the deadline, because they will be booked up quick; if they're not fully booked already.
