I used Turbotax to file my 2019 federal return but for some unknown reason did not file my state return at the same time. I have no memory of not doing the state return, but I got a letter from the state revenue office last week telling me I had not filed it and telling me I owe @3k. I went to my Turbotax account and saw that in fact I had not created or filed a state return that year. I called the revenue office and they told me to just file a paper return so I won't have to pay the penalty for not filing.
I tried to do a paper return but I didn't know how to fill in a lot of the sections that I guess Turbotax normally figures out.
Is there any way to use Turbotax to get this done? TIA.

Sorry you can’t use Turbo Tax. They don’t support 2019 anymore. You will have to go somewhere else like a local accountant or tax place. Or fill out the state forms by hand.
Thanks for the reply. I'm so annoyed that the state didn't notice this issue until after Turbotax no longer offered the ability to file for that year. 4 years does seem like a long time to not notice. I have tried doing the form myself and felt like I did not have all the information I needed. I will try again.
