How can enter differeent amounts on the 2023 1040-es?

You only can do that in the Desktop installed program.  Otherwise you can print out the blank 1040ES and fill out the amounts you want.

Or pay the IRS directly online.  Be sure to pick 2023 1040ES payment

How can enter differeent amounts on the 2023 1040-es?

I have the installed desktop version of Turbo tax.   I can't seem to access a "form" page where I can change the amounts of the 1040-es payments for 2023 rather than use the automated amounts Turbo tax is giving me.  Where do I find this page to change the amounts manually?

Here are my old notes.  Should still work for 2022.  You can play around with the Est Tax worksheet.

Go to Forms Mode. Click Forms in the top right (left for Mac). Look though your forms in the left column for Est Tax Options about 3/4 way down near the bottom of the federal forms.

If you don't see Est Tax Options listed in the column of your forms on the left side, then click the Open Form box at the top of the column and then on the right side click on Open the US Form 1040 list and scroll down near the bottom and click the plus sign by Estimated Taxes and Form W-4 Worksheet, then the plus sign by Estimated Tax Options. You can override the amounts.

If you don't have any estimates prefilled out then on the Est Tax Options worksheet:
Go to the Prepare Estimated Tax Payment Vouchers section and put a check mark in the second box for Even if the amount due is less than 1,000.

Then you can put amounts in any of the 4 payment boxes in the next section. Click on the amount box on the right and it will turn Blue and type in an amount.

Then at the bottom of the worksheet you click on quickzoom to the estimate you want to print out. The 1040ES payment voucher will open and you can print it out. Or you can over ride the amount directly on the 1040ES voucher.

If the 1040ES payment voucher is completely blank, when you type in an amount on it then it will automatically fill out your name, etc. on it. To override or enter an amount just click on the amount box and it will turn Blue then you can type in an amount.

How can enter differeent amounts on the 2023 1040-es?

Hi!  I found a way to do it after trying many ways.

If you want to enter different E-S amounts for your 2023 (next year) Federal Tax return, go to the upper screen folder tab labelled "FEDERAL TAXES" (the 2nd topic "tab" from left, after "PERSONAL INCOME" folder tab)  and on this topic, click on the 3rd "bubble" or topic from the left, labelled "Other Tax Situations".  Once in this section, select the topic "Form W-4 and Estimated Taxes".  Once there, it will ask you "Do you want to change your W-4 withholding for 2023 [or the next year]?"  Say YES (even if you DON'T expect changes in your W-4!!) -  and this will take you to a window to enter your estimated income for 2023 (or the next year)- for any income type besides W-4.  If you know how much more (or less) you will earn the next year that will result in the extra/lesser income than the current tax year, enter those ADDITIONAL (or SMALLER) $ you expect the following year.  This will change your E-S payments to accommodate your greater or lesser income you expect.

For STATE  E-S taxes changes, go to the top screen folder tab "STATE TAXES" (beside the "FEDERAL TAXES" mentioned above, and on the Menu here, scroll down to the section "Other Situations", which you will see describes "estimated taxes for next year".  Click here and there you will be able to change the TurboTax default estimates of your E-S taxes for 2023 (or your next tax year).

Hope this helps.  These 2 procedures worked for me.
