Why am I not getting social security tax and Medicare tax withheld refunded(box 4 and 6 on w-2) ? I’m also a dependent and seem to on be getting box 2 and 17 refunded

Social Security and Medicate taxes withheld from wages are not refundable.

Really because my parents are mad at me saying that I should get everything back if I add box 2,4,6,14,17 on the w-2 which is 1,200 in all for me .

The only taxes withheld from your wages that are eligible to be refunded are the federal and state income taxes withheld. (Box 2 and Box 17)

SS and Medicare taxes withheld from wages reported on a W-2 are NEVER refunded regardless of your age if you are a US citizen or legal US resident.
