It was definitely the Intuit update. Was working fine before the update yesterday - others say they did the update in May on other dates. I believe the update signature was shown above. Intuit support seems to only be open 5 am to 5 pm PACIFIC time.
TurboTax's website states that Windows 7 is still supported: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/system-requirements/help/minimum-system-requirements-for-turbotax-...
I'm running Turbo Tax 2018 (yes a older version) and the issue appeared this weekend too, on Windows 7. When I put TT on Windows 10 with the same file, it worked fine. However, I need the Windows 7 server to be working as I have to complete my taxes there.
I am having the same problem. Am using Windows 7. TT kept stopping. I saved after entering info on each section. Finally got nearly through & printed the return so I would not lose it. Now everything I entered is gone. TT wants me to completely start over. At lease I still have info I entered. Need to alter some info & finish. Tried to start all over on a Windows 10 machine. It would not. Said code had already been used to maximum. Please help.
Having the same issue. Keeps restarting after my second W2 entry. Annoying.
Getting the same error message that TurboTax has quit working when trying to make any changes. Tried a new return and couldn't get past the screen for interring internet income without getting the "TurboTax has quit working" error message.

Having same problem. Can you please tell me how to access the Problem Signature such as you posted? Want to see if mine is the same.
There should be a little dropdown arrow saying "View problem Details" in the "TurboTax has Stopped Working" mini-window.

My "TT Has Stopped Working" window just remains about a second before changing to a TT is Restarting" window which remains for another second and then disappears. There is no dropdown, just a Cancel button at the bottom, which, when pressed, prevents TT from restarting.
Does TT automatically restart when other people get this error, or is it just me?
For those using Windows 7, user "yrn" in a similar thread has reported that using the Compatibility tab and then selecting "Run as Administrator" solved the problem for him. See his posting in the thread below:
I realize it's anecdotal so far, but something easy to try.
Tried running as administrator, didn't work for me.

See if running a "repair" makes any difference.

Worked for me! Thank you!
Of course, I haven't actually tried filing yet, but I was able to make the change that I needed.
