Form 6252

For the second straight year, Turbotax data filled in on Form 6252 is not transferring over to Schedule D or Form 4797.  Any suggestions?

Form 6252

You need to look at the Form 6252, Installment Sale Income to see if there is an entry on line 26, which reports the installment sale income for the year. It may be that there is wrong information in part I where the gross profit is determined. Or, there may be erroneous entries in part II where the gross profit percentage is applied to the payments received during the year. This could result in no installment sale income being reported on line 26, so there is nothing to transfer to schedule D or form 4797.

Form 6252

Line 26 on Form 6252 (and I have two Form 6252's) does have an amount on both. I didn't see anything wrong in Parts I or II on the form.  However, I did attempt to enter values in Part I and the Gross Profit Percentage from the prior year return carried over disappeared.  I removed the values I had entered in Part I and re-entered the Gross Profit Percentage from the prior year return manually into Line 19 and it now appears the values from Form 6252 do carry over to Schedule D and Turbo Tax returns no errors.

Thank for your assistance.
