fil a complaint about turbo tax representatives

This has been my worst encounter with turbotax.  Every time I have had to ask a representative of turbotax on the phone about an issue, I get every answer under the sun, except the one I asked.  The answer, when they cannot answer the question is, "you need to hire a tax advisor".  The question was simple, "when am I required

to file an itemized return vs standard deduction".  You would have thought I was asking for the molecular structure of the atom.  In addition, I've been the one to answer my own questions regarding the taxes, and then I have to explain it to them.  So, where can I file a complaint, not that anyone would listen.

Simple answer to that one is the only time you could be REQUIRED to itemize instead of using your standard deduction is if you are filing married filing separately and your spouse is itemizing.  When you file MFS both spouses have to file the same way--either both have to itemize or both have to use standard deduction.

The software will not "require" you to use itemized deductions at other times, and will default to standard deduction unless you enter enough itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction, or unless you "force" itemized deductions.
