Has anyone been able to import their forms from Fidelity? It has worked for the past couple of years but it's not working this year. Tried it all weekend....  I tested my username and password in Fidelity multiple times and it works there, but TurboTax fails to log into Fidelity. keep giving me this:

"That still didn’t work, so try one of these. (103)"....

-Follow the link to check your sign-in info, then return and try again.Go to site

-Is that the right bank or URL? Some look alike and have other subdivisions.

Also, clicking on "Go to site" goes to a blank page. Is this a bug?

From what I have seen, most of the users are successfully be able to import.  Some still having issues.  I would suggest you enter the information manually.

In TurboTax online,

  • Sign in to your TurboTax account and select Pick up where you left off
  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in "1099b" and Enter
  • Select Jump to 1099b
  • Follow prompts
  • On-screen, Let's get your tax info, select I'll type it myself
  • Follow prompts

Use the same instructions for 1099int or 1099div

I didn't buy this product to do it myself. Please fix the Fidelity import problem of refund my money.

I was trying to import a 1099-R. Coincidentally, I just received an email from TT saying it was ready.

Add to my last reply. It would be real helpful if TT said not available yet instead of some obscure Error 580.

I can confirm i am experiencing the above symptoms, exactly as describe on both my Mac and PC. When will this be resolved?

If you are on the online edition, follow the steps below to clear the cache first before entering the information manually ( see instructions above)

  • Check your internet connection.  Try to log out and sign back in the program.
  • Clear your cache and sign back into the program.   To clear cache, click here: Cache
  • You may also try a different browser.

I've tried a different browser, I don't want to input the information manually as its quite a few forms

Why isn't anyone on your team taking this seriously.

I've cleared my cache tried different browsers and even tried a different OS.

Same error

That didn’t work. Try signing in again. (103)

My TDameritrade worked perfect.  Fidelity Investments has NOT.  I can download the 2020 tax information as a PDF- but I can’t import into TurboTax.  I keep getting “the information you have requested is not available” message.  I would just like to know who’s issue it is?

Just typing in manually is an unacceptable solution.

Please follow the instructions in this TurboTax FAQ to contact customer support for assistance on your import with Fidelity:  What is the TurboTax phone number?

Your "solutions" are cop outs.  Users are telling you the software is broken from last update.  The solution is to fix your software

I got it to download, but I now have 153 errors.  When I started looking at the errors, it is basically blank forms with my name and social, no data.  Doesn't appear anyone is taking this serious at all.

This would be best resolved by calling and speaking with a tax specialist by clicking here

Folks,

I've not done taxes yet this year. Last year I got Fidelity imported but a final check wanted a blank form on Fidelity I think; made no sense. Problem: I don't recall how I fix it. I may have found a way to avoid the check by just putting 00s in the form or avoiding it. OR I may have call turbotax, but I do not recall that.

Try making the form a dummy, obviously fake form! or accepting it somehow. Might even have to go back and change an answer to a question you answered incorrectly or were not sure of.

RE Importing, you definitely should try a different browser. Or go back and check your answers on whether you have "completed" a section. Turbo tax still has a lot of confusing instructions.

I had the same problem.  I was finally able to resolve it.  I had a really long password on my Fidelity account.  I changed it to a shorter password.  Once I did that, the data imported.

mschro - YOU'RE AWESOME! that worked! turbo tax support is useless. Good thing for people like you!

The workaround that worked for me: log into Fidelity directly and download the PDF of the 1099-R form to my computer. (Had to use a different browser as Chrome wouldn't login for some reason.) Then upload the PDF to TurboTax. All fields filled correctly, but checked them against a printout of the PDF that I always file in a folder every year.

Fidelity now (Feb 2022) uses a "more secure" proprietary access data link called "Fidelity Access". They no longer allow third party apps to "scrape" tax info, unless they (e.g. TT) have agreed to enroll in Fidelity's new system. Here is a link to Fidelity Access's FAQs:

 https://www.fidelity.com/security/fidelity-access-data-security

TT apparently doesn't have an interest in answering questions or reporting bugs, (shame on them), so I don't know if they have signed up with Fidelity, but considering all the angst in the responses to this question, I doubt it.

Anyone know?

Thanks to this community for trying to do what should be the job of TT, to which we have all paid too much!

Thank you so much. I called Turbo Tax customer support and they said that they are releasing a patch by 1st week of March to fix the issue of Fidelity. Lets see!

Who/what group did you call?  I would like to call them as well.  I figure the more attention brought to this, the more likely they will actually fix it.

Thanks,

Joe

TurboTax would not let me import data because I was trying to let Safari autofill the Fidelity password. Once I manually typed in my Fidelity username and password, I was allowed to import data.

Thank you for providing an update on what worked for you; we definitely have seen issues with the use of autofill @JanJen246.

I am experiencing a similar issue with the download version of TurboTax Deluxe.  This year it tries to have me sign into my intuit account first (before fidelity), but the dialogue box is non-responsive.  Intuit - please fix soon, I really need this feature to work.

It is also not working for me.  Has anyone replied that they were successful a download version of turbotax deluxe?
