On Feb 16, 2023 I received an email from TurboTax stating that my federal tax return was rejected due to code IND-181-01 (missing IP PIN). After waiting a week, now Feb 23, 2023, "Fix my return" is not yet enabled because the E-file status still shows "Pending". I have the required IP PIN but cannot "Fix my Return" until the "Pending" status is changed to show the return has been Rejected. How can I get TurboTax to update the "Pending" status so that I can "Fix my Return"?
My State tax return is also delayed due this issue as it too is "Pending" because the Federal e-File was not successful.

Did you update via the "check for updates" selection or did you do the manual update?
Issue still remains. Tax returns are stuck in "Pending" status.
I updated the software using "Online/ Check for Updates". Updater preferences are also set to "Automatically download updates".
Turbotax sent me the "Your federal tax return was rejected" email more than a week ago (Feb 16, 2013) and the software still does not offer the "Fix my Return" option.

I already contacted Customer Support on Feb 23, 2023 and they were not able to help me. That is the reason why I reached out to this community for help. I even have the Support ID number that Customer Support gave me to reference this issue.
The e-file was transmitted on Feb 16 and nine days later (Feb 25) Turbotax still has the tax return stuck in "Pending" status.
I'm afraid I might have to just print out the return and file by mail given the lack of support from Turbotax.
Please log out of the software, close it, then reopen it and log back in. Once back in, please navigate to the file menu, and try to fix the rejected return once more. As this can often fix this issue.

Followed instructions as stated and tax return is still stuck in Pending status.
Stuck in Pending status for 11 days since February 16. No "Fix my return" option available.
