It's the first day that you can import Charles Schwab data into Turbo Tax. After I entered the Schwab password, the Edge browser indicated that the import was successful, see the first screen shot. But then TurboTax complained that the import was unsuccessful, the second screen shot. I've tried many times and there's no way to enter the data manually - way too much!

It is possible that you said NO to allowing a strange poo-up
And that NO in the strange Pop-up screwed it up.
Tons of others said NO and resulted in the same thing for other brokerages.
Some help discussions on how to reset the browser so that it allows intuit to access to your device.. (Works for Vanguard and Fidelity...don't know about Schwab)

Solved: Re: vanguard brokerage update is available from Vanguard but not on turbo tax
That's not my case. First, I do allow pop-up and redirects, see screen shot. Second, I had no issues with Vanguard. Finally, I had no issues entering Schwab login/password and got the import success pop-up.
Nice to know.....Schwab is having issues beyond what Fidelity and Vanguard users are experiencing.

I tried...but apparently it's something else for Schwab.
Maybe someone will post a Schwab-specific solution over the weekend..or next week.
some have said using a different browser like Chrome works.
as an alternative, you could enter summary totals, but then you would be required to mail the 1099-B with Form 8453 to the IRS following the instructions on the form.
if all you transactions are type A and /or D with no adjustments, you could enter summary totals on schedule 1a and/or 8a. no details need to be provided to the IRS in this case.
A and D are when proceeds and basis are provided to the IRS.
Thanks for the answer.
I tried using Chrome as usual by setting it as default but it still failed. The import was critical as I had too many transactions to make it undesirable to enter details manually.
The bright side was I got an email from Schwab that an updated 1099-B will be provided and the previous erroneous one might be the reason for the failed import.
I will keep everyone posted.
exactly the same problem
Facing the same problem. It says successful on schwab website but Turbotax fails.
Hopefully is fixed soon. If I have to mail in my 8453, it defeats the purpose of Turbotax for me.
When you return to TurboTax after the successful message, is there a blue box that says "import now"? If so, you must click it for the import actually to happen.
As the screen shot I have attached with the original post, it said the import failed!
Did you receive an email from Schwab stating that a corrected 1099-B will be issued for you and the previous one will cause an error in form importing? If you do, you have the same issue as I and should be patiently waiting for a corrected 1099-B to be issued from Schwab!
