When entering data for Federal estimated tax payments, there seems to be no place to enter estimated ordinary dividends. Am I missing something or shall I treat them as short term gains or other?

You are correct that there is no listing for ordinary dividends in the estimated taxes tool. I would enter then as short term capital gains since they are taxed the same.

I found it. On the next screen, "2020 Other Income", click on Learn More and there is this,
Estimating Your Other Income
In estimating next year's income, don't forget to include income and losses from these sources:
- Interest income
- Dividend income <===============
- Retirement income
Glad you looked at the Learn More note and found it. The result would likely be the same whether entered ordinary dividends there or in short term capital gains.
