If you owe exactly no tax and don't have a refund, there's no option to put your direct deposit information on the 1040 form. Even if you try to edit the 1040 form manually, TT doesn't let you type the numbers in those boxes.
Surely there's a way to allow you to put the numbers in? A simple software coding change?

If no refund, then IRS won't use direct deposit info, even if you did manage to get it on there, which you could do manually and then file on paper.
BUT Turbotax makes even that hard by putting XXX in those boxes.
Paper filing isn't accepted right now.
Paper Tax Returns: All taxpayers should file electronically through their tax preparer, tax software provider or IRS Free File if possible. The IRS is not currently able to process individual paper tax return.
