Efiled, but need to send 8453. When will I know that the IRS has received the return

You will get a notification email that states your return has either been "accepted" or "rejected." Once you get the "accepted" return email that will indicate the date of receipt.

If you gave turbotax a number at which you can receive texts then you will get a text at every step of the acceptance process.  If you did not leave a text number you can re-open the Turbotax program and check your e-file status at any time you wish.  Just click continue and it will take you to the area where you can check status.
