E-filing

My status is Pending. You sent an Email to me that I need to push some ORANGE BUTTON some where . all I get is a mess of crap filing statements instead a link to the ORANGE BUTTON from the filing status page.  This is crap I want my Taxes filed.

Your web site is just confusing questions and answers. If i had a year I mite find the answer.

Where is this ORANGE BUTTON and how do I find it.

If it says your return is pending you already clicked that button and just do not remember doing it.   That "button" is the one that e-filed your return and put it into pending.

MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?

Did you e-file?  Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”  If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server.  Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending. If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing.

The IRS will not be accepting/rejecting 2020 returns until Friday, February 12, 2021.  You need to watch your emails for the acceptance/rejection notice that may take until mid-February or later to arrive.   And watch your spam folder too.   There are a LOT of e-files on servers so it may be several days after the IRS opens before you get an email.

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

A state return cannot be accepted until the federal return has been accepted.

No I did not get a reasonable answer. All I got was more gobadygook!  It was a no answer answer.  The only way I actually got an answer was when I got a an E-Mail that my tax forms were accepted, which was not part of the question.  All you should have done was answer my original was to answer   "YES we are submitting your taxes" or "NO you need to re file on this link"   See how simple this would have been instead of the answer I got.
