While trying to e-file form 1065 today, I received the following error message "Form 1065 p1-3: Item C is invalid for Electronic Filing. You must enter a valid 6 digit Principal Business or Professional Activity Codes. Please reference Form 1065 instruction for more info". I have used the same business code for 30+ years and has been the same code for e-filing the last 6 years. I tried another code in similar industry and that, too, did not work. I tried clearing the field and re-typing, thinking there was a space. Please advise. Form due in 14 days!

Thank you! Must have looked at prior year documentation.
You are most welcome.
Intuit: So far the only response I seem to find is that I should hire you to do my taxes. Why did I purchase access to your software and put in so many hours entering the information myself already. I have always done my own taxes, using your program for over the past 10 years. Now, I just want to know why your filing of Form 1065 is sparking an error - how can you fix that so I do not set off an IRS alarm?
Many people seem to have the same question.
Frustrated!
This is the entire IRS file for how directions to the Form 1065. I thought Intuit made filing taxes easier by putting in the steps in their program. What is missing in the intuit program?
