turbo tax updates don't work; I've tried all afternoon and all night  and it still says :"installing updates but nothing happens . I'ev also tried re-booting  many times; still nothing. what's next?

It depends. It may be worth downloading onto a different device to proceed, particularly if the device you are using is not newer. 

Here are some other tips, in case they cover additional options not already tried.

• TurboTax Desktop: Do a manual update. 
   

• Please check that your device meets system requirements.
   

• Help with Windows Updating Issues.
• Download TurboTax State (Windows)

• Download TurboTax State (Mac)

If you are still experiencing unexpected results, please call in to TurboTax - click the link for your call-in options - and tell them you were given this message from the TurboTax Employee Experts in Community for the Call Center Team:

• your program is not updating.
• This is a known issue.
• The solution is for the call center pro's to push you
  • first the federal software, and
  • then the state.

Everything will work after the new download.

thanks for the badge....but what I need is how to make my efile transmit.....each time I click transmit I get a window to update forms, but it will not update. PLEASE HELP!!!
