Maybe. You can apply for earned income credit (EIC) if you meet all the other requirements and income restrictions. Having been incarcerated during the year does not make you ineligible.

However, any monies earned while an inmate or while living in a halfway house are NOT considered earned income for EIC purposes.

The software will ask interview questions and let you know if you are eligible for any credits.
