so provide a CD of the download versiona dn charge an extra $5 for the phyical product. Why is that an issue for intuit? seems really straight forward.
We are reading your post and teh learning plateau is at the intuit side. Saying the same silly responses over and over does not mitigate your intuit product issue. If everything you say about your turbo tax product is true then it still leave the simple question of why not offer the CD version and Charge $5 more for the physical product.
The learning plateau exists because you intuit workers are unwilling to honestly discuss the issue of CD's. You stopped producing them because you wanted more profits. there is no technical reason it is a greed issue. you couldhave mitigated the profit choice by charging extra for the CD. You choose poorly.
You are trying to cover your poor choice with arrogances, misdirection and silly responses.
Now are you Intuit employees capable of learning or not? Have you hit a learning plateau at intuit?
You do reallize you just contradicted yourself?
"The only benefit (kind of) to having CDs is installing software without an internet (or very slow) connection. But at some point, you really want to update things and the sheer amount of download that WILL occur to update your apps will negate the benefit of having the CDs. Might as well download the program from the beginning."
The solution to no internet or very slow internet is? yeah nothing. Intuit jsut screwed over million of rural people.
The benefit to having CDs is installing software without an internet (or very slow) connection. But at some point, you really want to update things and the sheer amount of download that WILL occur to update your apps will negate the benefit of having the CDs.
So whats is your solution to this issue?
The benefit to having CDs is installing software without an internet (or very slow) connection. But at some point, you really want to update your apps; maybe at the library where the internet is better.
This is the flaw inthe entire intuit product plan.
yet another reason intuit has proven they do not understand their customer base.
Becaue now i am having fun screwing with the stupid intuit company and people like you who insist they understand the situation while they do not.
So Tagteams answer to poor product management is everyone else jumped off the cliff so why wouldn't we.
Tagteam grow up. your answer is stupid. We have clearly hit a learnign plateau with you. your dumb has overwhelmed your knowledge.
Once agian tagteam trying to cover Intuit's poor product management with a stupid response. When are you intuit people goign to grow up and face the fact that you made a poor decision . You have hundreds of people who are willing to actually provide you with feedback that means there are millions of others who simply said screw you and when else where.
Once a company says I do not give a s... about the customer how long do you think that company lasts?
Boeing use to be a premier company. Their executives cut and cut and cut. Now they are crashing ariplanes and stranding people in space. Intuit use to be a premier company then their management started to cut and cut.................

No one on this board knows why Intuit decided to discontinue physical media. No one on this board has any influence to get the company to bring back physical media, including you. No one with any power is reading your complaints. Please feel free to take your business elsewhere.
Tagteams answer to their customer is: "we do not care at all about you are your concerns." That is intuit's position on customers. They are sayign take a hike we could not careless what you think.
Something as simple as providing a CD option, even at extra cost, is more they they are wiling to do for their customers.
Yup clear sign of a company run by arrogant elites who just do not care. I wouldhave thought better of a company from arizona.
@Dennyblaine you may find that other app companies that offered CDs in prior years are not offering them in 2024. if you find one use it.
so many of us old timers are used to buying a CD to install on our desktops. I have personally done this for well over 30 years. And now Intuit is going out of their way to exclude us by switching to download only. I don't mind paying more for a CD version, Please embrace inclusivity and consider reversing this decision.
If you dont, i will still buy the download version and ask my 17 year old niece or nephew to install it for me on my desktop, I just hate to be ridiculed as a dinosaur and be at the mercy of others to have it installed. Phil
