After entering a "2023 Excess 401k Deferral" in the wrong place:
Entered as "Employee compensation that was not reported on a W-2” and filled out by current employer & amount in the “Report Your Wage Income” and selecting Reason Code H “I received a Form W-2 and/or Form 1099….and the income should have been reported on Form W-2”
I read a post from last year that stated I should have:
"8. Indicate Other as Source of Other Earned Income and click Continue"
"9. For the description enter "2022 Excess 401K Deferrals" and click on Done"
I attempted to correct this in Turbo tax, but wound-up creating two entries that I cannot find how to delete the first entry, Turbo tax just keeps prompting me to add another entry. How do I delete this first entry?
