Hi - I had Turbotax 2022 on my older laptop, which died the other day. I purchased and downloaded Turbotax 2022 from Costco on 03/01/2023. So I'm now on my new computer and trying to download Turbotax 2022 in case I ever need to open my old tax file.
When I try to download Turbotax 2022 from Intuit (using the license code I received from Costco) I see the message, "This license code has already been associated with an account. Please check that account and look for it in downloads."
However, when I log into my Intuit account, I don't see the purchase listed.
How can I know what account my license code was associated with? (I don't remember even associating it with an account, and if I did, it would have been to my sole Intuit account.)
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Do you still have the emails from Costco? You probably have to download it again from Costco. But I can't find any info on that. Log into Costco and look at your orders and see if there is a link to download it again. Or call Costco.
Did you save your return as a pdf file when you were done filing? If you need to see the return you can try the TaxPrinter service to convert a .tax file to pdf at http://www.taxprinter.com
they are not related to Turbo Tax.
Hi = Thanks for your quick reply. I still have the email from Costco. However, when I click the link to download Turbotax, I get a "page not found" error. So I thought, no problem, I'll download it from Turbotax. I have my license code. I'm sure their system can see that no one else is using that code.
Yes, I do have the PDF. Just wanted the Turbotax software on my new PC since I paid for it.
I guess I'll try Costco to see if they have a support line. Open to any other suggestions.
You have the .tax files? Do you have any other files or backups from the laptop? You might have the installation file in the Downloads folder.
Brilliant idea! I have a full backup from that computer, including the downloads folder and the install file is still there. Installing it now. I'm assuming all will go well. If not, I'll report back. Thanks for your help!
WHEW!
