Capital Gains Tax as a California Non-resident

Context: I moved out of California to the Philippines in January 12 of 2024. I sold RSUs that I earned while employed by a Californian company later in the year (November 22, 2024).

My question is, am I subject to paying Capital Gains tax specifically in California? I ask because I'm being prompted to add a value to the following question:

I also wanted to note I was able to file for an FEIE (Foreign Earned Income Exemption) so its concerning that I still have to pay state taxes

Yes, you do need to pay capital gains tax to California on the sale of your RSU's. The entire amount of capital gains is taxable and should be reported in that section.

The foreign earned income exclusion is strictly applied on the federal level but not applied on the state level.  This includes the state of California.
