This method helped on my Windows 10 operating system. Thanks
Glad to hear it - thanks for the update @SammyIAm.
Your method worked. BUT Intuit really f*cked up royally. And how am I supposed to trust that my taxes are prepared correctly if Intuit can't even properly code a box on a form too enable entering a license code? Really bad job, Intuit. I hope someone there will read this.
Still have the same problem. I'm working on a Windows machine. I can produce the blue teardrop, but I still can't input the password.
Thank God for you! That did the trick, hitting the Tab button several times. But how were we supposed to hit upon that solution?
Face it, Intuit screwed up. There's no way we could have known if the OP hadn't posted. Big props to that clever, inventive soul🏅! The same thing happened with several blanks in the tax forms as I was filling them out, and I doubt I'm the only one who experienced this. Personally, it even makes me question the accuracy of the returns I filed.
Now those of us who encountered this otherwise unsolvable problem need to notify Intuit about their screwup. I don't have much experience as a programmer but I know it's not a big deal to make a blank on a form fillable, and there's no excuse for this from a mega-company like Intuit with 40 years of history since its founding in 1983 and 30 years as a publicly traded company since 1993. It's just plain careless and shoddy.
Thanks so much. I had to try a few times but once the blue teardrop appeared, I was able to type in the code.
Finally, an answer that worked! Once the blue drop appeared I was able to paste in the activation code.
I also had the license code entry issue last year on my surface pro. This method worked for me and it was hard to find it.
This year, for TurboTax 2023, a new issue on my surface pro. I get the email with the activation code, go to the site to download the software and once I put in the activation code, the option to download the windows version grays out. The system must think that my surface pro is a Mac? Any suggestions?
Hope that this problem isn't systemic.
Hobie
