Well I am so jealous ! I don't see why it would matter where you are uploading files from. I travel worldwide and conduct all my business online. Doesn't matter where I am as long as I have a good internet connection.

If you are on vacation in Mexico or on a business trip to Dubai , you can file electronically from your computer from San Miguel de Allende or wherever you are if you are using your US residence address on your returns.
Yes, you can e-file from anywhere as long as you are securely connected to the internet and sign in to your account or return. Keep in mind that the IRS will not start processing returns until the 12th. @MOma42
