Please explain. Your question is too vague. We need details. Who is the child? Why do you think you could claim the child?

My NC taxable income is $12,918. This means the amount of NC state tax I owe should be 0.0450 x $12,918 or $581. TurboTax says I only owe $524. Can TT be wrong?
