Have you received any response for a fix or update? I'm having the same issue

Bug Report: Form 5695 QMID validation error for Weil-McLain

I'm having the same issue as Turbotax will not accept the QMID code for Weil McLain. The software updated yesterday and the issue persists. There is mention of a fix coming 02/13/2026 and hopefully it works.

Posting Date: 2/12/2026 7:09pm CT - How many times a day do you have to check for updates?  I am still get the error message. "QMID must be exactly 4 characters in format: Letter-Number-Letter-Number (e.g., A1B2). Letters must be uppercase A-Z."  The QMID is 46H2.

Is there a date for a patch to be deployed to fix this issues?"

My desktop version of TurboTax updated yesterday afternoon. I re-ran error check and the Weil McLain error is still there. Today is 02/13/2026, they day the bug fix was supposed to be published. Tick tock, tick tock.....

Bug Report: Form 5695 QMID validation error for Weil-McLain

Having same issue on Weil-McLain QMID code. The code per others and the Company is 46H2. Turbotax will not accept it saying it has to be Letter-Number-Letter-Number...but that is not correct. Can this bug please be fixed. Looks like it's been out there for 3 weeks.

Well it's 2:30 PM on the day that Intuit said a bug fix would be published. Nothing. Hopefully Intuit gets this fixed as it would be quite the shame if Intuit was targeted in a class-action lawsuit filed by 2025 Weil McLain buyers who couldn't get the $600.00 credit because of Intuit's negligence.

Are we sure its exclusively a Turbo Tax issue ,last time I checked it seemed HR block also was having this issues.

Bug Report: Form 5695 QMID validation error for Weil-McLain

Correct, Both Turbo Tax and HRB have the issue.
FreeTaxUSA worked fine with no rejections from Federal return and I received my State refund already.

No more using Turbo Tax

Anyone seen an update for this issue? I have been updating daily and still have the same error

Bug Report: Form 5695 QMID validation error for Weil-McLain

I didn't use the desktop version but I was able to resubmit mine last week and it was accepted quickly.  I think someone on the desktop version did as well. You might try deleting your form and reentering it.  But I'm not positive it will work.

Nothing....crickets....

Bug Report: Form 5695 QMID validation error for Weil-McLain

tried it out, didn't work. My hokey work around (for now), I put a qmid code from another manufacturer as a placeholder

Bug Report: Form 5695 QMID validation error for Weil-McLain

As of Sunday morning it still will not accept the Weil-Mclain code , using the browser verison btw. I just tried FreeTaxUSA as well and it also would not take it. So either we mail it or go with out the 600$? Has anyone put in another ticket with Turbo Tax recently?

It appears TurboTax support is not interested the issue from the lack of feedback.
