@gseverini how long did it take to know it worked? I’m guessing the same forever as it did to get the different screens up. Like I don’t have better things to do today. Anyway, appreciate your input.
Remember, just letters and numbers, no ashes
@gseverini argh, didn’t use any dashes, but missed one number in the string. Wouldn’t you just know it and I thought I was being so careful. Blindly deleted, now waiting to see if it gives me a blank screen so I can start over. Orrrr…maybe I should assume they all deleted and retype!?!? What a farce.
@gseverini took several tries, but finally got there. I’d still be pulling my hair out if not for your advice. Thanks!
Thank you and good luck!
BTW, I am now trying to sign-in...
Once the main screen is launched, in the File menu, there is a Sign-in option. When I click there, I get the usual blank fields not fillable, and I have not been able so far to sign in.....
If you discover how to do, please let me know!
@gseverini good grief, it never ends! I went right from activation to TT, did my 1099s, no issues. When I gave up last night and shut everything down, I reset resolution and scaling back to normal. When I started over again this morning I left it that way. I could always see the screens, just had really lonnnggg lag times between each one and, as you know, what looked to be non-fillable fields. I can’t imagine what the issue is now. So far no problems going forward for me, but I’ll let you know if that changes. Good luck!
A potential cause is that your video card driver may not be compatible and needs to be updated. Please see the following help article for more information:
For additional troubleshooting options, please see Troubleshoot blank screens, missing buttons, or missing images
There is also a fix provided by user miklk99 that some have had success with, you can view that thread here.
Tried all the suggestions, nothing works. I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and never had an issue like this before. Very disappointed. Will try to get Customer Service involved, or get a refund and try a different program this year.
The video card has nothing to do with the bug.
I have the most recent drivers and it doesn't work.
Have you tried the blind typing?
Yes, it won't even let me Ctrl V to paste into it. Just nothing.....
Sorry to insist, instead of CTRL+V, have you tried to type into the field?
I mean literally, click in the field and start typing even though it doesn't appear anything.
Apparently, it doesn't accept any typing, but in reality, it worked for me.
Yes, I have tried typing into the ether, with no results. Will try to contact Customer Service tomorrow. Very frustrated at this point. If many folks are experiencing this problem, why hasn't it been fixed?
I tried all options I think. The blind copy/paste suddenly worked on Deluxe, but with Business I ended up with a different sequence as I recall. I think (or assume) they did update it but also say its video drivers. Wasn't drivers for me
@JimWalk air wasn’t drivers, resolution, or scaling for me. Blank white screen, 20-30 minute wait to finally see screen where you TRY to enter code, but it was un-fillable. @gseverini suggested typing in the field blindly. Now, it took me several tries (typed the stupid code wrong) but on the second day, it worked! I tried three separate times the first day and the wait time between screens and getting the “incorrect code” notice grew longer. Gave up, did a restart on my laptop and went to bed. Tried the same routine the next morning and it finally worked. It totally STINKS, but keep trying. And I suggest we ALL try sending Intuit a “strongly worded” letter regarding our “disappointment” with their product. Good luck!
