Hi, I filed a return with Turbotax electronically. I received a refund from IRS on May 6. Now, I discovered that I omitted some income and I need to file an amended return. How can I enter the refund for the software to compute the correct amount that I owe

You do not need to enter anything.

Assuming you used TurboTax to prepare the original return, the amounts will pull through on line 18 of your Form 1040X, Amended return.

The amended return will then take this amount into consideration when determining what you owe on line 20.
