Tax Year Prior to 2020: Am I eligible for stimulus package check from IRS?

If I just filed my taxes for 2019 on 4/24/2020 am I eligible for a stimulus check? I was claimed as a dependent in 2018 but not in 2019.

You probably will not receive an advance stimulus payment.  However, if when you file your 2020 tax return and you do not get the advance, you can claim it then and receive the $1200 with your 2020 refund.

Only the IRS knows when you will receive your stimulus check.  You can use the IRS Get My Payment for information

Use the "Get My Payment" application to:

• Check your payment status
• Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
• Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if we don't have your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment yet
