2023 S-Corp Transmission Issue

I am trying to file my S-Corp returns using the 2023 Desktop software.  I have no errors and the review says I'm "ready to file"; however, I keep getting an error message when I click "transmit now".  The error message is:  "Tax Year 2023 transmissions are not available.  TurboTax Business is not ready to process Tax Year 2023 for this return."

Is e-filing really not ready yet or could there be something I'm missing that needs fixed?  I've looked at the forms link and there are no errors anywhere.  If e-filing is really not yet ready as a whole, is there a timeframe when it will be ready?

Thank you.

Your S-Corp e-file may be held up by the release of Form 3800, General Business Credit, which is due on February 16, 2024. Update your software the next day, run Review again, then try e-filing again. The forms hold should be released.

The forms hold affects all business returns, even if it doesn't apply to your situation.

The 3800 form is released and read for e-file however my business desktop software still says it's not ready.  I've restarted, checked for updates, and reran the review portion, and am still getting the same issue.  Is there anything I'm doing wrong or is the software not caught up with the form being released yet?

Thank you.

You may need to check for form errors in your return using Forms Mode.

  1. Click on the Forms icon in the TurboTax header.
  2. Look for red exclamation marks beside forms listed in the left column.
  3. Click on one to open it in the large window.
  4. Click on the Errors icon above the forms list to open a box under the open form to see what needs to be done to fix the error. Any forms that aren't ready will have a message in this box.

You can check the Forms Availability Table for other forms you need in order to e-file. Also check for program updates under Online in the black TurboTax menu. When all the forms are cleared, you should be able to e-file your return.

2023 S-Corp Transmission Issue

I have no errors in the list.  I was told before that since the 3800 form wasn't released, I couldn't file even though I don't have the form 3800 in my list.  In other words, even though the form doesn't apply to me I am held up until it is released regardless.  I just saw the update that the 3800 form is now due to be released on the 28th.  Getting close to just giving up and mailing forms as this is frustrating and tiresome as I've been trying to file for almost a month now.

2023 S-Corp Transmission Issue

Form 3800 was ready yesterday.  Waited until the day after, updated the program, re-ran the review, and have zero erros and I'm still getting the "turbo tax 2023 isnt ready to transmit returns at this time" message.  Any recommendations at this point?  Aside from filing by mail?
