@ Tina957 wrote:I was having issues with Turbo Tax not saving information I had entered. So after multiple days of fighting with it I decided to start all over. Now after 7 hours of finalizing my taxes, Turbo Tax decides to jumble my information and put 2020s numbers with the wrong corresponding work of 2019. Im not spending another day with this software. Ive used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember. Im done now.
This is an old thread from last year. It's not clear what you are experiencing, or what product you are using.
What tax year are you preparing--2019 or 2020? The title of this thread is about 2019 software, so are you using 2019 desktop software (CD/download)?? And for Windows PC or Mac?
Or are you preparing a 2020 return in a 2020 product? Online TurboTax is only for 2020 returns.
If you are preparing a 2020 return, are you using Online TurboTax or the 2020 desktop software (CD/download)?
In any case, here's how to reach TurboTax Support by phone;

After entering all my data, I printed a copy of my return for review. I noted that the tax liability computed by Turbo Tax was less than that computed by an Excel routine that I use to keep track of taxes during the year. I then computed tax due using the tables in form 1040 instructions and the amount agreed exactly with the Excel amount. Is this a problem with Turbo Tax or has some tax law changed that I don't know about? The Turbo Tax tax liability is less than computed from 1040 tables.
Even though the full amount shows up in the total income on the 1040 line 7 if you have capital gains or qualified dividends the tax is not taken from the tax table but is calculated separately from schedule D. The tax will be calculated on the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet. It does not get filed with your return. In the online version you need to save your return as a pdf file and include all worksheets to see it.
For the Desktop version you can switch to Forms Mode and open the worksheet to see it. Click Forms in the upper right (upper left for Mac) and look through the list and open the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet. See

Thank you for your reply - unfortunately that did not work, I updated my Mac to the newest software, cleared the cache, the issue was still there - I started over again - and it did the same thing - I got to the state part, saved and got out of it and when I went back in all the information was jumbled like before. Ive hired a cpa.
I am having problem with Turbo tax from 2019, I paid for the CD and when I filed on line electronically it was rejected, I did fix the error multiple still was not accepted. I had to print and send manually wasted almost 119.00 dollars.

What is the Turbo Tax phone number

I am at work right now when I go home I will look for the number if I didn't through away the box.
The best I can tell, you haven't said what the error was that prevented you from efiling last year and this year, so it would be hard for anyone to comment on it. You only referred to it as "the error."
Item #1 is still an issue with TT for 2022. It's beyond ridiculous that TT does not allow you to check your work. I came to this forum hoping to find out that perhaps there was a setting somewhere that would alter how TT behaves in this regard.
